Approach

We are passionate about supporting positive change and creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive environment. We love projects that are good for the world: programs that develop empathy; leadership training that helps managers engage and support their team while creating a space where people feel heard; and program designs that create shared dialogue around collaborative experimentation. This work supports organizations as they pursue excellence and a better and just world.

LISTENING AND COLLABORATING

We provide thought partnership and facilitation with the goal of improving initiatives and programs. We ask challenging questions, listen carefully to you, your team, and your stakeholders, and synthesize conversations. Whether we are designing a new program or crafting a strategic plan, these conversations and our collaboration will take us someplace wonderful and unexpected.

SUPPORTING BOLD AND INFORMED CHOICE-MAKING

We help your team identify and articulate their passions and vision. We value process, informed and clear decisions, and ongoing refinement. The voices and choices of your team matter.

BUILDING STRUCTURES FOR IMPLEMENTATION

Any plan is only as good as its implementation. Our work includes creating and sharing tools and professional development in new approaches. Our goal is to build your team’s capacity to implement new ideas and improve their work in ways that help you achieve your intended impact.

COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY

A good plan requires clear and powerful communication. Good writing engages audiences, clearly expresses concepts, and leaves the reader with new ideas. We not only help you develop a good plan or program, we help communicate it clearly to your intended audience.

HOLDING OURSELVES AND OTHERS ACCOUNTABLE

Accountability matters, and this affects our work in two ways. First, we recognize that collaborative projects like strategic planning and program development require systems for implementation and accountability on the part of your team. Helping your organization build structures for implementation is as important as designing the initial vision. Second, if we say we are going to do something, we do it – we take commitments and deadlines seriously.

ONGOING LEARNING AND IMPROVEMENT

We value curiosity and ask a lot of questions. We bring expertise in museum studies, education, and art history to our work, as well as the understanding that there is always more to learn. Ongoing learning is essential to continuous improvement. And continuous improvement is how we create meaningful impact on our audiences and our world.
