Writing Samples

Below are samples of writing for different audiences and purposes.

FOR TEACHERS

Writing for teachers focuses on giving teachers ideas they can easily implement in the classroom, and the background information they need in order to conduct these lessons easily and well.

In 2014 I was hired by the Anne Frank Center USA to write an educator guide based on their Sapling Project initiative. This guide was intended for middle school teachers to use both in and outside the classroom. The guide shared here is the version submitted to the Anne Frank Center; unfortunately I do not have a final, designed copy and the Anne Frank Center USA no longer exists. Read the Sapling Guide

The exhibition “Spanish Painting from El Greco to Picasso” was on view at the Guggenheim Museum from November 2006 – March 2007. I wrote the Educator Guide for this exhibit in collaboration with my colleague Sharon Vatsky. Read the Spanish Painting from El Greco to Picasso Educator Guide

Read the School Arts article “Water Towers: Bernd and Hilla Becher”

FOR FAMILIES

Family Guides provide a way for children and their adults to interact with exhibits that are not created for interaction. These two family guides were created for the Guggenheim Museum, in conjunction with exhibits of the same name.

FOR DONORS AND POTENTIAL DONORS
